This is great thanks! I just busked at a big festival and had so many people telling me I should get a tap and go device for cards as I have a QR code to link to my PayPal and Buy me a coffee accounts and a lot of people scan it but then can’t be bothered entering in their card numbers so I’m looking at other options. I’ve seen UK video where buskers have a tap & go option for a preset amount which would be ideal. Not sure if we have that option here…

UPDATE As a mentioned below, I’ve been using pedals for 15 years now as a professional touring musician with no problem. I had the first generation air turn pedal which was fine like the Pageflip a “normal” pedal. I’ve been rehearsing and have a concert tonight and I’m going to use the pedal pro. The thing that is radically different with this pedal from all of the others is it works best if you keep your foot on it all times and change the pages by using your toe. One of my female colleagues who swears by this pedal says that means also you must really have the correct shoes. She said she cannot use high heels. She has been using it for eight years. I will see you tonight if all goes well and let you know.

Like yourself I've had THREE Pageflip pedals. Butterfly, Firefly. I also have the original Airturn pedal. I ordered one and like yourself the ONLY way to turn the page was pushing with my FINGERS on the pedal. The rubber came off instantly. The pedal was exchanged and now I am practicing with the Airturn pedal pro. I seem to make it work by putting my foot on the pedal then after pushing with my toe. It seems to work but this is day one. It is not easy like the pageflip just touch and go. Maybe they want it to work this way. But that "spongey" feel I dunno.

This was very informative even though it was 6 years ago. You still have to solve for every one of the things you discussed. This setup would still work beautifully today.

Hi iv had my bose for about 6 months and just last night suddenly it went quite today it was like about 70 percent lost heaps of power then usual im so disapointed im hoping its just the mike surely i havent blown the amp the bluetooth still pumps i hope the 2 mike setups arnt faulty

The SM58 just doesn't cut it for me and I returned it and switched to Sennheiser e845. SM58 is too overrated.

Last year in September I got really sick, but not like ive ever felt before, was like my nervous system was shutting down.Couldnt do anything for 3 months, if I went out I'd have episodes where I couldn't walk properly, weird sensations over my body, felt like I was disconnected from reality, a truly horrible feeling.And this was everyday, until early January I got a little better.Id say I'm at about 70% better, at my worst I felt at about 30% and some days thought I might not make it to the next day. I don't know what's causing this but I know several ppl who've been sick for months, and don't fully recover.

wow you are interesting. I had to look up busking! and you need to interpret dogs better, your dog did not think it was a dog case he/she thought it was a dog bed. And you could tell that they weren't impressed with it as a dog bed. You are an accomplished woman! I was curious as to what you had your mic stand fastened on or was it on the ground? I have one that I fasten on my keyboard but it pics up the pounding and that is not good.

When ever there is a change, new gear may not be any better, manufactures seem to be giving less for the money.

As I was watching your excellent video, my mind went to the Boss VE-8 which I think might have solved your problem. As I scrolled down and read some of the comments before I posted this, I saw someone else suggest it. It also has a looper and a vocal harmonizer feature that lets you ad vocal harmonies. I'm curious to find out what was the ultimate solution that you came up with. I recently purchased a Bose S1Pro, but I don't busk. Just got it to use in the back yard.

The permit is slandered by the junkys . Police will do nothing about these junky predators who fixate on buskers in such a mamner as to destroy any hope of getting enough to justify putting up with the defamation of these destroyers . Get a lawyer if you wish to busk in melbourme as it will destroy your credability not to orisevute them to the full exyent of the law ...

Great sharing Samantha, I've had my own issues trying to come to terms with the digital transactions way of doing things. I forked out over $300 for a Square card reader terminal thingy (the bigger thingy they sell at Officeworks et al), it's great! Or it WAS great until the battery completely carked it. I do have the reader you have there, but it's been so long since I used it, and when I first got mine I no idea how to set up different donations etc ... OK so I'm an old fulla, it doesn't help hahaha. Anyhow you've inspired me to drag out the little square do-hickey and run through trying to set up different donation amounts on my phone, as you have there. As I too battle the odd health issue or ten, it's always easier said than done, but I have to do something as so many don't carry cash now. As an aside, I've never had much interest shown by punters (the audience) in the cashless thing, it's as though people just don't trust it or the busker using it ... Thanks and well done!
